Decking provides an attractive outdoor surface with a natural, contemporary appearance. Terraces, walkways and jetties are designed and built for public spaces, schools and commercial developments. Decks, patios and verandas are made for private gardens.
Timber decking has a smooth or grooved finish. Slip-resistant deck boards ensure that waterside structures and public areas are safe and provide good grip. Where applicable, hardwood and softwood materials carry PEFC or FSC accreditation to guarantee sustainable cultivation.
Composite decking is made from a combination of recycled wood fibres and plastics. It is particularly resistant to impact, weathering, rot, splintering and fire. Heavy-duty components are available for commercial areas, and lighter-duty elements for domestic use.
Recycled plastic decking includes low-maintenance products made from recovered plastic materials.
Anti-slip components, including blended aggregate inserts, can be specified to give a sure footing on decked surfaces.
