With the on-going desire to improve the energy efficiency of buildings throughout the UK, leading PIR insulation manufacturer Celotex has launched Celotex SW3000, an innovative and direct render solution for external solid walls for both new build and refurbishment projects.
Celotex SW3000 is an external wall insulation (EWI) solution featuring PIR insulation with coated glass tissue facers. With endorsements from many of the UK’s leading EWI system providers, it has been specifically designed to act as a direct render solution, enabling the render system to be directly applied onto the insulation with no requirement for separate batten systems or render boards.
With a thermal performance as low as 0.026 W/mK, Celotex SW3000 also has a better thermal efficiency than many other insulation products that are used on EWI systems. This results in SW3000 being up to 50% thinner than many mineral fibre products which in turn reduces installation time and cost.
The result of significant investment in research and development, Celotex SW3000 offers impressive thermal performance and ease of application. The solution also carries moisture resistance properties, unlike mineral fibre and phenolic which can suffer from moisture penetration, leading to thermal degradation.
