Quarried since the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, Brathay Blue Black is a hard sedimentary slate formed under intense pressure.
Characterised by a fine golden thread, originally an iron pyrites deposit, this consistent and versatile slate exhibits a dense blue-black body of colour.
Readily available in a range of standard tile sizes or custom cut to requirements, Brathay Blue Black is suitable for demanding applications both inside or out.
This slate is very durable and is suitable for the most demanding commercial applications such as receptions, banking halls and airport terminals.
