Lapicida donated stone flooring for the ninth Maggie's Cancer Centre to open in the UK, designed by Sir Paul Smith and Piers Gough CBE.
One thing Lapicida can't be accused of is having a heart made of stone. Nor can for that matter legendary Nottingham-born British designer Sir Paul Smith and Piers Gough CBE, Founding Partner at CZWG Architects.
We've come together to create the UK's ninth Maggie's Centre in Nottingham, which provides free emotional and practical support for people affected by cancer. Sir Paul donated his experience to design the interiors, award-winning CZWG Architects designed the £3m facility and Lapicida donated and provided quality stone flooring throughout. The result is a state-of-the-art example of innovative Great British design helping to bring comfort and hope to thousands of cancer sufferers.
"The idea of Maggie's is such a unique one and we are very privileged to be involved in the centre in my home town of Nottingham where we have been invited to decorate and furnish the interior." – Sir Paul Smith
