• Complete sales service from four distribution centres
The National Distribution Centre at Hull offers full and half loads of Scandinavian and Russian Redwood or Whitewood in all grades, available for delivery on the same lorry, usually within 72 hours from placement of order. In addition, Metsä Wood's local depots at Widnes, Boston and Grangemouth can supply three packs or less and even a split pack service to help with customers' stock holding. We work closely with our colleagues at the mills and we are often able to produce customer-specific sizes or grades.

• Environmental and CSR credentials
Metsä Wood takes corporate social responsibility seriously, through the timber supplied, the people employed, and the communities and countries the company operates in. Metsä Wood can supply a variety of dimensions and grades that are certified to PEFC and FSC, and is one of the few suppliers that supply FSC-certified Russian redwood. Extensive back-up services are provided to customers requiring Chain of Custody information: Metsä Wood's dedicated Environmental Team is pleased to advise on any certification or environmental issues.

• Heat-treated timber
Metsä Wood has worked closely with the company's Finnish and Swedish mills, as well as their Russian partner Novoyeniseisky, to ensure that every product shipped from them to Metsä Wood meets the ISPM15 standard. Metsä Wood staff are happy to discuss any requirements customers may have for heat-treated timber or share their knowledge when needed.
