Puriflo has a wide experience in building sequential batch reactors, a form of activated sludge treatment in which both aeration and settling take place in the same tank.
The process can only be applied in cases where the flow to the plant is suitable or where it is possible to discharge a large volume in a short time. It is possible, by the addition of another tank to which the flow is directed to give temporary storage, to over come this, but it negates the advantage of using only one tank for aeration and settling.
Normally, the process is designed to work on a 24-hour cycle, in which a period is allocated for settling.
Puriflos plants are individually designed for each specific application.
