HVAC ducting is used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to convey warm or cool air, or to extract damp or dirty air.
PVC-U ducts are advantageous due to their low cost and light weight. They are often specified in flat channel sections for domestic applications where space may be limited. Flexible plastic ducting is also available, which can accommodate bends and corners.
Aluminium spiral ducting can handle high positive and negative pressures and is suitable for larger HVAC systems than PVC-U ducts.
For large commercial and industrial systems, galvanised steel is the standard material. Specialist duct fabricators can manufacture bespoke ductwork to order.
Fabric ducting is a specialist type of product, covered in a separate section on this website.
